My landlord is aware of a significant leak in the walls leading to mold and did not fix the leak, instead they put up a new wall which then molded in less than 1 month. They have now cut a new hole in the wall to address the plumbing but I don't think they intend to actually fix it. I have been experiencing significant respiratory health problems from mold for the last year due to this issue. When I moved in (4 years ago) I was informed that the bathroom had been remodeled.
