Commercial apartment complex  greater than 5000SF. Uncontrolled water runoff and new downspouts installed without means of containing water runoff (no storm drain hookup or maintenance). Building currently undergoing renovations.  Water is being dumped into city sidewalks & right of way. First rain of the season flooded W Nickerson St with dirt & debris. Sidewalk is covered under thick layer of mud.  Secondary (hidden) downspout 1.5" in diameter piped directly into city sidewalk.

use of woodstains throughout common areas (stairs, handrails, hallways, tec.) in building with zero ventilation, zero signage. Accumulation of dangerous levels of VOCs in apartments and common areas.

We came upon some information about the Canal Apartments, the brick building across the street 1223 W Nickerson St, Seattle, WA 98119. They are doing brick & mortar construction on the East side of the building. The building was built in 1926, which means the brick has asbestos. White dust came from that building yesterday and last Friday from this person's account during construction hours. They stated the dust was pluming and traveling with the wind. This is a hazard not only to our children

Release of asbestos dust into the air. Dust seen traveling over 200ft. Brick apartment complex. Contractor is removing mortar from between the bricks on the exterior of the building (circa 1925). Removal of mortar (which contains asbestos) is not being contained & floating airborne to surrounding properties.Brick buildings in Seattle require seismic upgrades & permitting is required for those upgrades. Removal of mortar with asbestos requires controls. Work has been going on since late July
