The new property management company Graystar is falsely claiming that I owe $20,500 in unpaid rent. I moved out of the apartment in August 2022 to move to California to began graduate school at UC Berkeley. My rent was paid up at the time. I completed the check out process in person, disconnected my utility account with Seattle Light, and terminated my renters insurance. On May 3rd, I submitted a maintenance request to the Batik apartment management due to a landlord supplied/wall mounted HVAC unit not working. A month later, the request was closed but the AC unit was not fixed. On June 15th, I submitted an additional maintenance request regarding the HVAC unit and to date, the unit still has not been repaired. It is a wall-mounted ductless mini-split unit that is supplied by the property. My understanding is that landlord supplied equipment and appliances

Exit door does not work from the stairwell. In an emergency, if a person tries to exit that door through the stairwell and they forget their keys, they will be stuck in the stairwell. All exits from that stairwell require a key fob and the door does not open from inside the stairwell. this door has been broken for over a month. This could create a deadly situation in the event of an emergency. The problem is that you can get into the stairwell without a key fob, but if you do not have a key
