This landlord is demanding a move in fee that is clearly a violation of city law. The first month's rent is $1125, and the non refundable move in fee is $250. I have text messages to back up their assertion. I can provide them if desired.

Tenant called Complaint Line after the building manager and owner showed up and attempted to enter the unit without adequate notice - they knocked on the door unannounced and wanted to enter the unit to check on appliances. Tenant refused access - MGMT then asked when tenant is leaving for the day, and mentioned that they will return when the tenant is gone. Tenant called with questions about Prohibited Acts.
