My lease extension was set to end on June 10, 2025. I attempted to sign a year lease, but Walls Property Management refused unless I paid a "market rate" of $4,750.I signed a month-to-month lease at that rate, but on June 6, just days before my existing lease ended, the property manager informed me that the lease was "void" under Seattle rent cap laws and that I had to sign a new 60-day fixed lease at $4,716.
