I am reporting a violation of the Housing and Building Maintenance Code. A carbon monoxide leak was identified by PSE in a unit fixture (fireplace). The landlord/maintenance had stopped the pilot light a week later to mitigate for the leak before a full fireplace replacement but is refusing to credit the excessive gas utility charges caused by the faulty equipment, which is a failure to maintain the premises in a habitable condition.
