We alerted our landlord to a gas leak in our fireplace two months ago. After he did nothing we contacted Puget Sound Energy. Puget Sound Energy immediately responded and capped the gas line for safety purposes. Our landlord now refuses to repair the natural gas fireplace. The RRIO Checklist states: "5.3 Fuel-burning appliances, where allowed, must be of an approved type, properly installed, and maintained in good working order." The natural gas fireplace is not functioning.
