During the first week of April 2025, a bad storm blew out a window in the building's back stairwell between the 3rd and 4th floors. The window measures approximately 4' x 4' and is entirely gone, now entirely open. We notified the landlord John Ester immediately, left a thorough voicemail, yet received no call back. In the meantime, we taped a large, flattened box to cover the opening, but it is not effective obviously-cold, rain and possible critters can definitely get through. John and Glenda

On March 15, 2025 a wind storm caused an upper story window to break and fall from the West-facing stairwell of our apartment building at 1605 East Madison Street, Seattle, WA 98122. Tenant's covered the open hole of an upper story window with cardboard, and contacted the building owners. Now, 1 month later, the window still remains un-repaired with no signs of owners or maintenance tending to the issue. Per Online; It is 10:37 pm and there is still excessive construction noise on E Madison St between 16th and 17th Aves. This is outside of the city noise ordinance. It is extremely loud and I can't possibly be expected to sleep with this degree of noise.

"I am a disabled tenant. I have been renting here for 15 years - now the landlord wants to evict me. 8 of 17 windows in unit are painted shut. Poor drainage on east side of building - moisture leaching into walls, causing mold/mildew. Large hole in ceiling over toilet in main bathroom. 3 lights shorted out - 1 in the kitchen and one in each (2) bathroom."
