I was dining at Moonrise Bakery beneath a pergola like outdoor dining structure. As I stood up to leave, I hit my head on the structure and suffered a concussion. I believe I suffered a concussion because the structure is out of compliance with Seattle's Building Code for Commercial structures. Outdoor Canopy/Pergola constructed too low and people have hit their heads resulting in a concussion. In a search of the SDCI permit records for the site, no site plans or permits were approved for the structure. In reviewing city code, I could not find an exact match for commercial canopy requirements, however I did find similar standards for overhead weather protection along streets.
