Per Online; Extremely large fir tree in the process of being cut down. This tree is also hosting a Merlin Falcon nest with babies in the process of fledging. Owner/logger/person logging the tree was approached by TWO scientists studying the falcons who explained to him that there was a nest with live Merlin babies in the tree. The aforesaid person CONTINUED to remove all limbs from the tree. This is a Federal offense.

I walked by a Grand fir of about 4-5' in circumference that a man said he was cutting down because it was diseased. It looked totally strong and healthy. I asked him if he had a permit to cut the tree down and he ignored me. so I think he does not have a permit to cut the tree.
