Just moved in, theapartment wasn't clean as promised.There are missinglight bulbs in someof the fixtures, thereare leaks in the kitchen, some of thehandymans' andprevious tenantsbelongings in thegarage. Whenlandlord approachedabout the issues,the answer was,we could do it ourselves. If me and the other roommates hirea cleaning serviceand someone to dothe repairs, can wededuct the amountfrom our rent?
