.re: Powell homes in the cul-de-sac; built in the 1970's .inq: the combination of gas furnace and asbestos ceilings, if current, is volatile; it did catch fire the night before WA Precollege Exams 1975, and had to be put out by residents; it was not reported to the Fire Dept., we were a family of immigrants; if the condition still exists, the asbestos ceiling need to be removed, for being health hazard, esp. upon aging; and natural gas furnaces esp. of that era really are not fire-proof;
