Several new homes are under active construction and the construction equipment and crews have destroyed the alleyway between 44th Ave SW and 45th Ave SW. It is now riddled with enormous "ponds" of water that are making alleyway impassible for regular passenger vehicles. The developer, Travis Weeks, stated that he was going to eventually pave the alley at the demand of the City of Seattle in 2024.
