In May, I requested a two prong outlet in my living room to be updated to a 3 prong grounded outlet so I could safely install a window AC unit. An electrician came out to inspect and the electrical update would cost 5k. My landlord refused to pay for this work. There is new legislation that prevents landlords from prohibiting tenants from installing portable Air conditioners.
