Per Online;The elevator in our building is operating without a permit and has experienced a few failures in the past year.The most current (today, 11/01) may have resulted in a small fire as the third floor had visible smoke hours after the incident. The smell was strong enough to permeate multiple floors and down the shaft into the garage entryway. Of further concern is the lack of response from the building smoke detectors.
