On 6/16 around 5 PM the power went out of my building and the emergency button on the elevator did not function. Called the building manager to question if this was planned maintenance. The building manager confirmed it was not planned. He came to the building 20 minutes later. Once he arrived, the building manager advised me to wait 30 minutes for the elevator operator to return his call. I chose to call 911. The fire department arrived around 6 PM to open the doors.
