I rent an apartment where I have been a resident for 12 years. Since January, the building manager has refused to fix the problem of unreliable electricity due to repeated circuit breaker tripping - at times leading to no power at all. Since January, I have documented every breaker trip and kept all communications. They refuse to call an electrician and make the repairs only to tell me, "well, you are not going to like this but not much we can do". There's no way the electrical is up to code an

I am reporting a potential gas leak concern in my building but am unsure of its severity. On 9/19/24, investigating a beeping outside, I saw a worker with a monitor by the gas piping. I mentioned smelling the gas additive a handful of times over the past 8 months or so. He confirmed a leak. Later, I spoke with another worker, possibly third-party, who mentioned the gas is used for the dryers and suggested there could be additional leaks that need inspection.On 9/20/24, I went to do laundry

There are at least 2 live work by R-2 occupancies at the address site building. The permitting is not sufficient for the present uses according to records on file for the property. Such reflects the failures of the employees of the Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections to record and verify for purposes of current registrations and even in the historic neighborhoods with special requirements for compliances. Building has new Mgmt. Tenant signed a one year lease with previous Mgmt. that is good for one year. New Mgmt. is giving less than 30 days to raise the rent $400 more, telling tenant she must sign new lease or move by 9/1. They will not even honor the lease that has already been signed. Is this legal?
