Our 12-unit condo was recently repiped to replace the outdated CVPC piping with pex. After the piping was done, many of the walls and ceilings in each unit and common areas needed to have the drywall replaced and repainted. However the HOA was told by someone with the city that due to the price level and the firewalls, we needed to have an inspection and be issued a permit to replace the drywall, something the drywaller and plumber had never heard of since they were not making any structural an

In early June, our 12-unit condo was replumbed. As this required removing pieces from our walls, a drywall company was retained to build back the drywall, however apparently a stop work order was issued by the city (though no paperwork seems to be available or posted) and so for more than 3 weeks our units have been torn apart with holes in the walls of every unit and the common areas. The HOA only insists we are waiting for the city, but as there is no permit number, there is no way to contact
