Per Online;My landlord has recently applied an illegal rent increase for my building. They switched to a new payment processing service online which charges us additional "processing fees." We were given no notice of new fees. They claim it does not constitute a rent increase because it is charged by a third party. On January 17, 2025 we received a bill for water in the building that indicated our building's water consumption (averaged per resident) was about 2x the previous month (70.58 gallons per day per person for November, 128.38 for December). It is apparent that there is a leak that started in or around Decemebr. I formally submitted a maintenance request letting management (Cornell and Associates) know about this issue on 1/31/2025. Management did not fix the issue, but they marked the request as
