In September (a few weeks after our lease began), we complained to landlord about a putrid smell coming from our 2nd floor bathroom. We were unable to identify the exact source of the smell, but we speculated that it's coming from the shower drain. We suspect that instances when the smell is particularly strong coincide with activity in other units in our building (likely upstairs neighbors using their shower).
