My apartment experienced significant flooding on July 9, 2026, and the flooring has still not been fully restored more than six weeks later. Management initially attempted to dry and retain the existing carpet, but after multiple delays and unsuccessful attempts to stretch and re-secure it, maintenance was unable to restore the carpet to its prior condition and management has now proposed replacing it. Hello. I am a tenant in this building since 2008. The landlord repaired an audible short in the wiring last year, but there's another that started last September. It's making my apartment hum/whistle throughout the day - a half hour or an hour here and there, across all times of the day. It sounds like there might be a transformer going bad or similar.
