I received a rent increase notice that describes what happens if I sign a new lease but doesn't say anything about what happens if I stay month-to-month. I emailed the landlord prior to when the increase was supposed to go into effect saying I would stay month-to-month at my current rate but they're taking the position it's a valid notice and that the new rate/fees are owed. It was supposed to go into effect March 1.
