I am the owner occupant of the house, which has a (fully permitted) basement apartment currently occupied by two renters on a month-to-month extension of their original lease. I am concerned about fire safety. They have piles of clothing and other material possessions taking up much of the available space. They have furniture jammed up against baseboard heaters (which they do not use, but could still be turned on accidently). I'd lile to have someone come out and do a safety inspection.
