eventually caused damage to my apartment, specifically in the shower area. While the leak in the upstairs unit was eventually addressed, the repair in my unit was completely inadequate. A hole was created in the wall of my shower due to the water damage, and instead of properly repairing it, the landlord or maintenance team simply covered it with a piece of waterproof tape. The hole remained open behind the tape, which was not a safe or code-compliant repair. I clearly stated at the time that

Tenant does not have proper insulation. Says heat only goes to 68degrees. And that's only sometimes usually it's lower than that. It's winter time and it's cold needs to be fixed. This has been an ongoing issue.
