I believe the apartment that I rented in December is an illegal ADU. I did not know this at the time as it seemed a very nice apartment and the owner is in real estate so I had no reason to suspect. However, I subsequently discovered after a friend mentioned the windows seemed too small to meet code requirements for safe egress in Seattle that the ADU (a basement apartment) does not appear to be registered with the city as a rental (no records in RRIO search), and worse, does not seem to have e

Tenant trying to get out of lease regarding housing concerns (see 000640-26CP) I just moved in. I just got settled. I am legally disabled. I spent thousands and thousands to move, to buy furniture to suit the apartment, to pay helpers for unpacking and putting things together because I cannot. I am terrified she is going to lock me out of the apartment from all my stuff and my two elderly cats now that I have confronted her.I am hoping somehow I am all wrong about this but the landlord'
