They have also submitted false statements certifying the units comply with RRIO. The SBC applies to buildings with three or more units and the unit lacks the required sprinklers for an upstairs unit with a single emergency egress.

Landlord has failed to maintain the basement unit in compliance with the Seattle Residential Code (see notice of violation 1053493-VI with a correction date required by 1/20/2022). The illegal below grade bedroom conversion within 3ft of a property line and a separate unit present such a condition that endangers or impairs the health or safety of the tenant(s) as the basement lacks sufficient emergency egress. Tenants are also presented a valid RRIO certificate.
