I signed a lease with the prior leasers of this property (Blanton Turner) whereby I had paid a non-refundable move in cleaning fee. Prior to the end of my lease, Arboreal Management LLC (AM LLC) took over management of the property. I did not sign a new lease with AM LLC for independent reasons but following moveout, they attempted to withhold part of my security deposit claiming it as cleaning fees despite requests by me to inspect the property for cleaning prior to my official moveout date. In this building, the elevators are old and property inaccessible. There is no accessible way to enter the building (mandatory steps to elevators with distinct lack of ramps). I reached out to management, but they said that the elevators had been "modernized" recently. However, the issue with the elevators is that they 1. do not open automatically, 2. have two doors you have to open manually and by using two arms, 3. both doors take 15+ pounds of force to open. ADA Concerns - The back door entrance was changed to exit-only, making the front door the only access into the building. There are three stairs in the lobby that lead up to the elevators, creating zero ADA access to the elevators and subsequent units, and laundry room in the basement. There is only one unit that is ADA-accessible through the front door.
