We have made repair requests in our apartment unit that were not repaired and we are now breaking our lease and moving. Specifically, we have not had working locks since we moved in and a pest (bird) problem on our balcony. We put our repair request in writing via our tenant portal on May 6, 2024, waited the ten-day waiting period, and after the landlord did nothing, we gave written notice that we were going to break our lease and move by May 31, 2024.
