Inner stairwell doors on northern and eastern side of building will not fully close, violation of fire and safety code. Manager has put up handwritten signs asking us to fully close the doors, again in violation of building management responsibilities. Doors do not close due to new, poorly installed carpeting.

The hallway doors on multiple floors fail to fully close and latch due to poorly installed carpeting creating heavy friction. This violates IBC 1010.1.3 and local fire codes regarding self-closing egress doors. Management has left a notice to tenants to fully close the doors, but that is not our responsibilty.

Our building's trash area has had a rough year, with containers overflowing and the ground covered in refuse. It has occasionally been. Cleaned, but was especially bad this summer. The trash area abuts KIRO Radio's property, which, along Franklin, is ground covered with some sort of ground ivy.
