Hello, I'm writing to file a complaint about a neglected planting strip. I think the issue is that the homeowner doesn't realize they are responsible for maintaining it. The weeds are getting out of hand and the grass seed is spreading into surrounding yards. The grass seed is also dangerous for pets because the seeds are barbed and lodge themselves in a dogs fur. Then the seeds wind up pushing into the skin and becoming infected. Also this is a huge fire hazard. Wonde

I was out walking and noted that an Exceptional Evergreen tree was being cut down. When I inquired if there was a permit, they said yes. But then I was told they were only "topping" the tree. As you can see from the photos there were very few branches left. I talked to Jim at SDCI Code Compliance and he said there wasn't a permit.
