Owner sold the building, SJA Property Management took over and sent a rent increase notice. Also both bathtubs were backed up. Plumbers had tough time entering building since landlord wasn't coordinating. Got another letter that they're raising rent even more. Wants to know rights as a tenant.

Renewed lease start June 1st. Rent increased from 1200 to 1250/mo. Tenant paid increased rent amount of 1250, however, they are stating there is still a balance of 1200 that has to be received by midnight. He is being charged double rent. Seeking tenant rights.
