Additionally, many instances of unsafe construction practices have been observed - nails in public spaces of building, items falling off roof, etc. I have tried to work directly with the owner, but have been ignored.

Before moving out, I repeatedly reported black mold, roach infestation, and other hazardous conditions to my landlord. She denied ever being informed and then charged me over $800 for mold-related "move-out costs" that I did not cause and could not have prevented. Cockroach infestation: This building has an active cockroach infestation that has not been resolved in the 2 years I've lived there. In fact, it has gotten much worse. It is primarily inside the units. My unit (304) and two neighbors (305 and 308) have confirmed the same. They are frequently in the kitchen and bathroom but have been found in every room of the house. At some times, I have had to kill over 20 cockroaches each day. It is unsanitary and uninhabitable! Over the course of the last several months, our apartment has become infested with cockroaches. That problem has spread to a building wide issue. The building management has acknowledged that this issue has become larger than a single unit issue but has sent out emails to all tenants indicating their intention to raise rents next lease, and has not taken proactive measures to address this issue. We believe this is a health code violation and a violation of the Carl Haglund Law, which is ironic
