This is a follow-up to my previous complaint #008650-25CP regarding my landlord's failure to return my security deposit. They did not respond within 21 days and only contacted me after I filed the original complaint. The charges listed are excessive, and I believe my rights under Washington state landlord-tenant law were violated.

My landlord, Walls Property Management, has failed to return my $500 security deposit or provide an itemized statement within 30 days of my move-out on May 31, 2025. I contacted them multiple times by phone, email, and AppFolio, but received no response. Under RCW?59.18.280 and Seattle Municipal Code, the landlord is required to return the deposit or send a statement within 30 days of move-out. I request SDCI investigate this non-compliance and take enforcement action.

I did not receive my security deposit in it time, and I also did not complete a move-in checklist when I moved in, which means they were not allowed to withhold any security deposit from me as well. I moved out on July 31st, 2023, and did not receive my deposit until August 30th, 2023.
